From Grassroots to Global Vision: Building MediXo By 12 Brand

When I look back at the early days of Hugs For Mito, what stands out most is the power of community. Families, patients, and supporters came together to fuel research at Mass General Brigham, and in doing so, we proved that grassroots energy can move the needle in rare disease care. That experience left a lasting mark on me — not just in what we accomplished, but in what it revealed: the gaps in connection, clarity, and comfort that patients and caregivers face every day.
MediXo By 12 Brand was born from that realization. Our mission is simple but ambitious: to architect a MedTech ecosystem that bridges those gaps and creates scalable solutions for the people who need them most. We’re not just building products; we’re building a framework that makes adherence easier, care more comfortable, and communication more human.
This past season has been about laying the foundation. We’ve completed disclosure packets across our core innovations, staged trademark filings to protect the MediXo identity, and sequenced a roadmap that ensures every step is defensible and future‑proof. These aren’t just legal milestones — they’re proof points that we’re building with discipline, clarity, and longevity in mind.
Recognition is beginning to follow. We’ve been invited to participate in the 2025/26 Corporate LiveWire Global Awards, a program that highlights companies and individuals making meaningful contributions across industries. While awards are never the goal, they serve as a reminder that the work we’re doing resonates beyond our immediate circle. They validate the idea that solving critical gaps in care is not only necessary, but worthy of attention on a larger stage.
What excites me most, though, is what lies ahead. MediXo is still early, still evolving, but the trajectory is clear. We’re moving from grassroots passion to structured innovation, from isolated solutions to an integrated ecosystem. And at every step, the focus remains the same: clarity, connection, and impact.
The journey continues, and I’m grateful for every partner, supporter, and colleague who sees themselves in this story. Together, we’re not just imagining a brighter future for patients and caregivers — we’re building it.
